Composer
composes music for concert, dance, film, television, and new media. He moved to New York when he was fourteen to study dance at the School of American Ballet and music privately. Aaron went on to dance with New York City Ballet prior to being accepted into The Juilliard School where he studied composition with Christopher Rouse for his Bachelor of Music degree and John Corigliano for his Master of Music degree. Severini’s chamber and solo works have been performed by three-time Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn and acclaimed pianists Steven Beck, Stephen Gosling, and Robert Fleitz. Aaron collaborates regularly with choreographers and has composed original scores for New York City Ballet, the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, The Juilliard School, and the New York Choreographic Institute. His music has been licensed to underscore numerous promotional campaigns for companies and organizations including Cartier, Unicef, Squarespace, and MasterCard. Aaron is currently a recipient of the Juilliard Career Advancement Fellowship.
